A Message From Our Executive Director

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! Our commitment at McDonogh 35 High School is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.

High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school. It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit to maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of McDonogh 35 High School students. It is the contribution of our students to our school community that makes McDonogh 35 High School an exceptional learning community. Full participation in academic and co-curricular programs and a willingness to act responsibly as an individual within our educational environment are the factors that enable all to have a successful and enjoyable year.

Your success in school depends upon the enthusiasm of your leaders, counselors and parents; however, you are the most important part of the equation. I urge you to be actively involved in your own education, ask questions, set high goals, and study diligently. Take pride in your school and appreciate the people who support you. Take advantage of the growth opportunities in this dynamic period in our history. Be responsible for your success.

This school year will be a great one for all of us. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. I am here for you all, and honored to be your Executive Director.

Harold Clay, Jr.
